We may realize that Apple rarely confirms its component suppliers, and vice-versa. Thats why iLounge is a little skeptical about this pics. “The first pictures and diagrams of a touchscreen display that a Taiwanese company claims is being used in an upcoming iPhone. It’s a 2.8” display—shown here alongside a newer 3.2” version—two sizes that would enable Apple to start shrinking both iPhones and touchscreen iPods from the current 3.5” screen size found in its first-generation models” said iLounge.

Lets not have our hopes up because maybe Apple is not making a smaller iPhone meaning a 2.8″ but is thinking about an iPod nano or iPhone nano in the near future. Thats just me thinking. Remember Apple has put a lot of energy to there App Store, they are even giving out iPod Touch to student that buy a qualified mac so every one can have an iPhone or iPod Touch.

People are saying that Apple might announce the development of the next version of Mac OS X on June 9th. It seems they are looking to give developers an early version of Mac OS X 10.6 at the event. Apple is said to be more interested less in new features than and more on improving the overall speed, stability and security of Macs.

The major changes are said to be to eliminate Power PC support, and only leaving intel Macs. This will incentive developers to spend less time on universal Binaries. Its also said that Apple will consider wrapping the entire OS in Cocoa, granting use of the code to access functions which were only opened through Carbon. We think the code name may be “Snow Leopard” but it is not certain for now.

Reports claim a commercial release of the OS to be expected as soon as next year’s Macworld in January.

Folks at Crunch Gear seem to think the iPhone App Store will be ready to launch the same day the next generation iPhone will be released. CNET has learned from a confidential and trustable source that the App Store will be up and running as soon as Steve Jobs’s keynote is done.

It seems the Cult of Mac has been tipped about the next generation iPhone specs.

iphone22222.jpg

The iPhone 2 will have:

-3G

-GPS

-2 x memory (16GB and 32GB)

-22 percent thinner

-Better battery life

Apparently Apple is targeting the price at $200 so it can compete with RIM’s Blackberry. I hope this would be the real price, since with this price, we can expect Apple to accomplish the 10 million iPhone’s by the end of the year very easily. Lets see what Steve will do to reach his goal.

Apple we all know this was going to happen sooner or later. People want to download more apps besides what the iphone has to offer. We are not saying the apps suck but, people want more every time. Yesterday Apple banned two teens from there Stores for downloading a third-party application onto a demo iPhone. The teens are banned “for life” at a Apple Store.

“After being lectured by the manager on the dangers of ‘hacking’ into the phones, the teens were photographed and told their pictures were being sent to all Apple stores ’so they’d be on the lookout for us,’” Rogers told the Palo Alto Daily News. Rogers, who worked in the Apple store over the holidays, yawned off the lecture.

“All you have to do is plug it in a laptop to restore it to normal,” he said.

The iLife reporting live form the scene at the New York Apple Store at 5th Avenue:

This is a follow up of The iLife liveblog real time updated.

6:31 PM Sidney is off from work and en-route (via Subway) to the 5th Ave store.

7:30 PM Sidney is on the scene confirming that it is indeed commercial- there are booms and a Genie outside the store. He says that lighting is being setup to highlight the Cube and elevator.

7:37 PM Sidney has confirmed that there is filming going on in the store. Director chairs and people mingling around the tables. All computers have the Leopard aurora desktop background showing with no menubar or icons.

7:39 PM He can see into the Apple Store, and there are iPhone tables with cardboard around them. Most of the people are congregating around the iPhone tables. The cardboard is very eerie, very Apple, he notes.

7:52 PM The crew outside is discussing ways to get into the store, appears to be looking at a floorplan.

7:56 PM “I recognize the 5th Ave HR Manager standing outside the store. She is dressed well and clearly happy about this event.”

7:58 PM More lights are being setup around the outside of the Cube.

8:08 PM “Crews are all talking through radios. I wish I had a frequency scanner right now!”

8:11 PM The crews are hooking into the Fire Hydrant now. What the heck!?

8:33 PM BLACK CASES MARKED “Anonymous 5+4″ entering store. Picture to come.

8:33 PM More black cases marked “Anonymous 4+3″ entering store.

9:33 PM Sidney has to leave as his iPhone has die; the liveblog is over. The servers are being pounded from traffic from all over; including AppleInsider and MacRumors. Thanks to all who have visited!!

9:47 PM Almost the entire sidewalk is blocked off on 5th Ave, with the Apple employees pushing the line back as much as possible. Sidney has left for home.

It seems Apple is launching the phone in different colors. We have seen the Black iPhone and the White iPhone but maybe the casing is white for testing reasons. Will have to wait until the WWDC and see what surprise will Apple give us.

AT&T and Apple hasn’t set a price yet for the 3G iPhone, said the company’s chief financial officer told reporters Thursday at a Reuters-sponsored technology summit.

Rumors have gone around the world saying the next generation iPhone could cost as low as $199, but that hasn’t been confirmed yet. we will have to wait until June 9th to know which is the real price of the new phone. If Apple really want to achieve the 10 million goal they have, it would be a very intelligent move to sell the iPhone at $199.
