July 15 the people went wild over the Pre-order of the iPhone 4 “This changes everything. Again” well it did. People went wild, iPhones sold the launch day like crazy people were trying to get one no matter what. I know how people felt because I spent that morning from 9 am to 1 pm trying to pre-order mine. After several attempts I got mine on AT&T because Apple couldn’t process my order completely.

After all the wait I got mine and yes my iPhone experience changed. Having an iPhone 4 is a completely different thing, I used to have an iPhone 3G and the upgrade was a big deal for me the new experience is a dream. From checking emails to editing a video on iMovie this new gadget works like a charm. Multitasking like Apple said done the right way, I enjoy the fast app switching. The retina display is just a dream you know when we used to say I can’t believe its butter, well this time I can’t believe this is an iphone screen. The new camera is just amazing the pictures it takes are just enjoyable, I love it so much that it just replaced my digital camera on my summer vacations.

I consider my self an iPhone gamer with the mentality that the best gaming device is the one you take everywhere and I take my iPhone everywhere. Taking this into consideration I love that iPhone game controller is generally the accelerometer and moving the it everywhere I can imagine is so cool and feels so real like racing or flying. Using the gyroscope is just a whole new level of gaming. Playing a first person shooter game is just amazing, you just feel your inside the game and its really you playing in real life. Try N.O.V.A. or Archetype on the iPhone 4 and you’ll see what I mean.

In other words what can I say I just love my iPhone 4.

People have been day dreaming with the rumor to be released Apple Tablet. We have even seen Valleywag-gawker offer a reward up to 100K for information or even spending time with this product. People come on I know its a life changing gadget and we all want it but 100K for information, don’t you think it’s a little over the edge?

Lets just save money so we can buy this tablet and enjoy it as soon as it rolls out. I think the price tag for this tablet could be between 600 – 800 dollars.

Im planning on getting a net-book, but Im holding until the tablet is officially out so that I can compare the tablet and the net-books and make the right choice.

I know many of you are thinking of running to the nearest Apple store the day our little friend Steve lets us see this beautiful tablet but I think we should first pray that Apple ships this immediately and not on march like the rumors we have been hearing on the web.

The only thing we can do at this time is wait till the 26 or 27th of Jan till Steve gets on the stage and presents this wonderful thing that will change our life’s.

We have been seeing a lot of rumors lately of the new Apple Tablet, we have even seen a possible name this new product can adopt. This name is expected to be iSlate. This product is expected to be launched on Jan 26 2009, at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. Lets hope the stories are true this year, I remember being excited Jan 2009 about this “tablet” and then getting all sad and disappointed about not getting it. I’m planing on getting it as soon as it rolls out. Lets just hope they don’t charge a big fortune for this product and no required 3G plans attached to it. It would be great to have 2 versions, one version with 3G and the other without 3G. Stay tuned for more information about this event and tablet news.

This week I went to an Apple Store to upgrade form my iPhone 3G to a new 32 GB iPhone 3G S, thinking AT&T was giving the option to iPhone 3G users who got the iPhone between July – September a good upgrade price meaning 199 or 299. Turns out yes we are getting early upgrade price of 399 or 499 depending on the model we want to get, and if you didn’t get it those dates you have to pay full price 599 or 699.

AT&T come on, iPhone users have the most expensive minute plan because we don’t get a regular plan as other users, but instead we have to pay a more expensive plan with less minutes, with an expensive data plan, plus an additional sms plan. If thats not enough we have to wait TWO YEARS before we can upgrade to another phone. AT&T if you want to keep the exclusivity agreement with Apple on the US be more flexible, we pay more money than other users and receive less benefits. I know the iPhone is the best phone out on the market but come on if you weren’t the only carrier with it on the US believe me I wouldn’t be an AT&T user.

Well, I always look on the bright side you make me pay more money, but with the new iPhone Firmware 3.0 Im getting my moneys worth with tethering for free and believe me its very good, very fast and best of all free for know so take advantage while this lasts. (You don’t have to jailbreak you iPhone for this to work just install the carrier settings for AT&T and thats it. Remember Rake Point doesn’t support this methods but we were testing it. If do this its at your own risk.)

The pictures that show iPhone on tethering mode are actually from iphonebuzz but the method used by them was not the one tried on our iPhone 3G.

Here are 12 reasons by Dr. Mac regarding why college students should by macs insted of PC’s.

It’s back-to-school time again. So if you’re about to send your kid off to college with a new computer, here are some reasons to make that computer a Mac:

1. Issues are the last things a kid needs at college and Macs have fewer issues with viruses, malware, and icky stuff like that.

It has also been my experience that Macs have fewer issues with almost everything else, as well. This was my daughter’s first year away at college and she required technical help from me only once.

2. Most Macs sold today have a built-in video camera and iChat software. So it’s easy to communicate by video, audio, or even plain old text chat. Of course this assumes that you have a Mac of relatively recent vintage.

To continue reading go to Dr. Mac

I think his right and nothing to argue with that Windows sucks and all the errors you get. On my experience I used Vista for like an hour and a half and I got like 10 errors and was extremely slow that I had to take my ipod and listen to music wile Vista responded. Needless to say it was a very good laptop. Intel core 2 duo, 2gb RAM and more. So why buy a Windows laptop for your kid if you could buy a mac? Why give them a box of problems if you could give them a box of solutions?

Dr. Mac

I have used in many occasions the iPhone calculator even the new one on the 2.0 Update, and it has never been the love of my life. Today I found on the App Store a new app called Kalculator which if found useful. I bought it and tried it and can say its money well spent. The “single column numeric spreadsheet” as the developers calls it, is a great Kalculator to have when you are on the go. It stores up your history, its easy to use, very effective, responsive, simple kalculator and last but not least great graphic interface. I see the default scientific calculator on the iPhone and I wonder why so much junk and functions if this should be a on the go calculator for fast equations and what we really need is to see our previews equations and not a single line cal. If you want a good scientific cal buy a freaking Texas instrument guys. I want to see an engineer trying to solve a complex equation on the original iPhone scientific cal. its f**** impossible since we have no way of seeing our previews sums and equations. It also brings great features like when you tap with a single finger you bring the result up, when you tap with two finger you bring up the equation, and if you slide your finger it gives you the option to delete a single equation. I think this is kind of neat. I recommend this Kalculator to anyone who likes a great simple on the go calculator.
